About

Bridging clinical science and genuine human care.

I am Dr. Suzanne Nortier Hollman, a licensed clinical psychologist with locations in Washington, DC and Chevy Chase, MD. My career has been shaped by a single, abiding curiosity: how the mind works, and what allows people to live well even in the face of difficulty. I hold degrees from the University of Oxford, University College London, the University of Cape Town, and George Washington University.

That curiosity led me to doctoral training in both clinical psychology and the history of medicine—a combination that informs how I practice today. I draw on the rigor of neuropsychological science to understand how a person thinks, learns, and remembers, and on the insights of positive psychology and attachment theory to help them build on their strengths.

Much of my work has centered on emerging adults and college students—a population navigating extraordinary transition, pressure, and possibility. I find this work deeply rewarding: it is a season of life when thoughtful support can change the trajectory of everything that follows.

Above all, I believe assessment and therapy should leave you feeling more understood, not less. My clients describe our work as warm, clear, and genuinely useful—and that is exactly what I hope to offer.
